Junior Data Engineer

About the role

ScotiaTech is looking for a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join its international banking data engineering community. You will work on designing scalable data solutions, supporting both on‑premise and cloud environments, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance analytics assets.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in data engineering and transformation design to build extensible, performant solutions.
• Coordinate with the International Banking data engineering community, supporting training, onboarding, and implementation of data assets across markets.
• Develop data integration pipelines and analytics workloads for on‑premise and cloud platforms.
• Contribute as a member of an agile team, promoting consistent development practices, reusable components, and shared tooling.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience as a Junior Data Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (B2‑C1 level).
