Junior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Junior Internal Auditor will support the internal audit function by conducting operational and financial audits, investigating incidents, and helping develop continuous monitoring tools. Reporting to the Senior Internal Auditor, you will work within a global team that values risk‑based auditing and proactive governance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute value‑added operational and financial audits across regions according to the annual audit plan or management requests.
• Conduct detailed investigations, including interviews with colleagues and key stakeholders.
• Prepare concise audit reports with practical recommendations for senior management.
• Support the Minimum Internal Controls Framework by challenging controls, developing documentation, and tracking action plans.
• Assist in building data‑interrogation/analytics tools for continuous compliance monitoring.
• Provide a control focus for company initiatives, projects, and activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in internal audit, accounting, or related business functions.
• Qualified accountant or auditor (CPA, ACA, CMA, CIA, CISA or equivalent).
• Strong written and verbal English skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% and work both onsite and remotely.
• Highly motivated, organized, detail‑oriented self‑starter.

Required skills

• Knowledge of COSO or similar internal control frameworks (Sarbanes‑Oxley a plus).
• Proficiency with SAP.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI (ideal but not essential).
• Ability to work with data‑interrogation/analytics software.
