Junior Project Manager – Air Freight (Control Tower)

About the role

The Junior Project Manager (GSC) for the CAT US Control Tower will support the end‑to‑end delivery of air‑freight solutions, ensuring shipments meet customer expectations and internal profit targets. Based in Bogotá, you will work closely with the DGF CAT US Control Tower team to harmonise product roll‑out and maintain stable customer interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Validate CAT shipments in CW1, checking account codes, service levels, commodity details, country pairs, incoterms, and consignee information.
• Review and confirm all applicable charges, fees, fuel calculations, and assessorial costs against rate‑card requirements.
• Assess shipment margins in the Profit & Loss tab for GP compliance and coordinate with the HOP team for billing corrections.
• Handle exception cases: request missing documents, flag audit discrepancies, place out‑of‑tolerance shipments in WRK status, and escalate unresolved issues.
• Provide clear communication to project stakeholders and internal teams, reporting status and risks.
• Identify work‑progress issues, propose solutions, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Collaborate with the Control Tower team to deliver end‑to‑end solutions for origin and destination operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Junior Project Manager in a large, multinational enterprise.
• Background in air‑freight operations and project management.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and business‑problem resolution abilities.
• Excellent written and oral English communication.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and urgent operational demands.
• Team‑oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
