L3 SOC Analyst

About the role

Inchcape Digital is seeking an experienced L3 SOC Analyst to lead investigations and responses to complex cybersecurity incidents. This senior technical escalation point will enhance detection, threat hunting, and security automation across a mature SOC environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investigation and response to high‑severity incidents, coordinating containment, eradication and recovery.
• Develop and enhance detection rules, threat models and monitoring across SIEM, EDR, cloud, identity, network and endpoint platforms.
• Perform proactive threat hunting to uncover advanced threats and detection gaps.
• Build and optimise SOAR playbooks, automations and integrations to accelerate response.
• Mentor junior analysts, contribute to SOC strategy and participate in on‑call escalations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on SOC experience, including senior incident response, threat hunting or detection engineering.
• Proven track record leading major cybersecurity incident investigations in complex environments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to guide teams and convey findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in SIEM, EDR, SOAR, cloud security, identity security, endpoint and email security platforms.
• Detection engineering: creating, tuning and optimising rules and behavioural analytics.
• Threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence.
• Knowledge of operating systems, networking, Active Directory, Entra ID and cloud technologies.
