LATAM Trade Operations Lead

About the role

The LATAM Trade & Transportation Lead is a senior position within Johnson & Johnson's global supply chain function, responsible for overseeing transportation networks and trade compliance across Latin America. The role ensures cost‑efficient, reliable, and fully compliant movement of products from manufacturing sites to distribution centers, hospitals, and distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regional trade leadership, ensuring compliance with customs, import/export, and trade regulations across all LATAM countries.
• Manage relationships with logistics providers and control‑tower partners, driving performance metrics and continuous improvement.
• Lead transportation operations for inbound and outbound freight, optimizing flows and delivering cost‑improvement targets.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams (supply chain, quality, finance, legal) to resolve issues and support product launches and network changes.

Required profile

• 6–8 years progressive experience in supply chain, transportation, or trade compliance, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and import/export operations in Latin America.
• Experience managing logistics providers, control‑tower models, and transportation cost optimization.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills across multicultural environments.
