Lead Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to provide senior technical leadership across multiple engineering teams supporting a large‑scale security remediation program for a U.S. healthcare payments and revenue‑cycle software company. The role is remote, full‑time and involves overseeing up to three PODs that work with AWS, on‑premises infrastructure, Java and .NET applications.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical standards, triage, sizing and prioritization across up to three engineering PODs.
• Adjudicate high‑impact findings, decide between fix or configuration change, and ensure consistent remediation approach.
• Guide and unblock senior SRE, infrastructure and application engineers, maintaining a uniform quality bar.
• Coordinate change‑control, release cycles and evidence standards, and serve as senior technical liaison to client owners.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional engineering experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, application security or security remediation.
• Proven ability to lead multiple engineers or workstreams through standards and delegation rather than hands‑on execution.
• Strong judgment in security remediation, distinguishing architectural fixes from local changes.
• Advanced spoken and written English and excellent stakeholder management.
