Lead Finance Analyst – Country Finance Manager

About the role

The Lead Analyst – Country Finance Manager (CFM) for Innovative Medicine in North America will lead a team delivering end‑to‑end financial services across the Canadian business, combining deep Accounting to Report expertise with strategic finance business partnering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and owning trial balance, income statement and balance sheet reviews.
• Ensure SOX compliance, support internal and external audits, and drive standardisation and process improvement using digital tools such as CFIN and SAP.
• Act as strategic finance advisor to business units and senior leaders across the One Americas region, providing insights for planning, forecasting and performance management.
• Collaborate on M&A activities, strategic projects and cross‑functional initiatives, identifying and executing value‑generating process improvements.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team in Latin America, champion DE&I, and influence across GS Finance and business units.

Required profile

• 8+ years progressive finance experience, including shared services and commercial finance, with at least 3 years people‑management experience.
• Strong executive presence, communication skills in English and Spanish (Portuguese a plus), and ability to lead through influence in a matrixed, multicultural environment.
• Experience supporting North America markets and navigating complex, changing environments.
