Lead Scheduler

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Lead Scheduler to join its Mining & Metals team in Colombia. The role focuses on planning, monitoring and controlling schedules for large‑scale mining and industrial projects, supporting clients across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness.
• Coordinate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) with project managers, cost managers and engineering teams.
• Perform schedule quality assessments, critical path analysis, float analysis and risk reviews, and generate regular reporting dashboards.
• Support change management, schedule impact assessments and recovery planning, collaborating closely with site construction and client representatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• 7‑10 years of experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls, preferably in mining, metals, energy or large capital projects.
• Fluent Spanish and strong English communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environments and to influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and project controls reporting tools.
• Experience with schedule risk analysis methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with EPC, EPCM or Owner's Team delivery models.
