Lead / Senior Software Engineer (Azure)

About the role

Softgic is looking for a Lead / Senior Software Engineer in Bogota with strong expertise in Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud platforms. The role combines technical leadership, architecture design and hands-on development, supporting initiatives such as application modernization and cloud migration. It suits someone who can lead agile teams and work with both technical and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor development teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Design and build scalable, secure, high-performance solutions on Azure.
• Define and validate enterprise and cloud-based architectures.
• Develop and maintain web applications, APIs and system integrations.
• Work with stakeholders on requirements, technical design and planning.
• Ensure best practices in code quality, security, performance and maintainability.
• Support Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate) when required.
• Contribute to technical decisions and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Lead Engineer.
• Deep experience in the Azure ecosystem and a solid background in enterprise software development.
• Strong ownership, accountability and results-driven mindset.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, able to adapt in fast-changing environments.

Required skills

• Backend: JavaScript, Go or Python.
• Frontend: React.js, HTML, CSS.
• REST APIs (building and consuming).
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cosmos DB, MongoDB.
• Azure, CI/CD pipelines, testing and deployment.
