Legal Assistant – Virtual Support for Growing Law Team

About the role

We are looking for an organized, tech‑savvy Legal Assistant to become the operational engine of our expanding legal practice. Working from our Medellin office, you will manage digital workflows, support attorneys, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update digital client files in cloud‑based case management software.
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, meetings, mediations and track court deadlines.
• Conduct initial client screenings, collect intake information and route inquiries via phone and email.
• Order, track and follow up on case records such as medical records, billing statements, police reports and insurance documents.
• Handle e‑filing with courts, draft standard correspondence, manage digital mail and assist with basic invoicing or billing entry.

Required profile

• Advanced English proficiency (C1 or higher).
• Availability to work onsite in Medellin.
• 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or legal support role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks independently.
• Professional, empathetic phone demeanor and excellent written communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud‑based collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Google Workspace).
• Experience using digital phone systems.
• Hands‑on experience with legal case management platforms (Clio, Filevine, Smokeball or similar).
