Legal Counsel – Contract Services

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Counsel to join the Global Business Solutions Center (GBSC) Legal Services team. The role focuses on end‑to‑end contract preparation and execution for a portfolio of vendor and commercial agreements, supporting the company’s mission to power economies worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, triage, and manage contract requests in line with GBSC policies and service level objectives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate routine contracts such as NDAs, software license agreements, support service agreements, and consulting services agreements.
• Collaborate with business unit clients and subject‑matter experts to ensure agreements meet legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
• Analyze contract terms, special provisions, and compliance considerations.
• Provide high‑quality customer service, maintaining response and resolution times as defined by GBSC standards.

Required profile

• Law degree with a focus on corporate or commercial law.
• Experience drafting and negotiating vendor and commercial contracts, preferably in the financial or technology sector.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and continuous process improvement.

Required skills

• Understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
