Level 3 SOC Analyst

About the role

Inchcape Digital, part of the Inchcape global network, is seeking a Level 3 SOC Analyst. The role leads the investigation and response to complex cybersecurity incidents, acts as the highest technical escalation point and drives improvements in threat detection, incident response, threat hunting and security automation. It suits someone with strong technical leadership and a passion for advancing cybersecurity operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the investigation and response to complex, high-severity incidents and coordinate containment, eradication and recovery with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and tune detection rules, threat models and monitoring across SIEM, EDR, cloud, identity, network and endpoint security platforms.
• Run proactive threat hunting to find advanced threats and detection gaps.
• Build and optimise SOAR playbooks, automations and integrations to speed incident response.
• Investigate attacks to determine attack paths, root causes and business impact.
• Mentor junior SOC analysts (L1/L2), contribute to SOC strategy and take part in on-call escalations when required.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on SOC experience, including senior Incident Response, Threat Hunting or Detection Engineering work.
• Proven experience leading major incident responses in complex environments.
• Strong detection engineering skills, including tuning detection rules and behavioural analytics.
• Knowledge of threat hunting, threat intelligence and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to explain technical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
