Litigation Paralegal – Civil Litigation Defense (Remote)

About the role

Support a mid-sized U.S. trial law firm on complex personal injury defense matters, handling cases from opening through trial. Work remotely with a Monday‑Friday schedule aligned to Eastern Time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters through all stages: inception, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Maintain organized case files, client documents, discovery materials, and litigation records.
• Review, analyze, and summarize pleadings, discovery responses, medical records, and other case documents.
• Assist attorneys with complaints, interrogatories, requests for production, and deposition preparation.
• Coordinate with witnesses, experts, clients, and other participants while ensuring clear communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a recognized Paralegal Certificate.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on U.S. civil litigation paralegal experience, preferably in personal injury defense.
• Strong written and verbal English skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines, organize multiple active matters, and work independently after training.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the full litigation lifecycle, including pleadings, interrogatories, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Experience handling medical records and non‑party records in litigated matters.
