Manager, Payroll Operations - Colombia and Brazil

About the role

Remote is looking for a Manager, Payroll Operations for its Colombia and Brazil payroll scope. The role reports to the Senior Manager or Manager, Payroll Operations and sits in the Payroll Operations team. It is fully remote, based in LATAM, with a start date as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Own payroll outcomes for your team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance, and coach, give feedback and lead a team of payroll specialists
• Lead operational investigations into payroll issues and manage relationships with external payroll vendors
• Own end-to-end payroll delivery for a defined group of countries, keeping country-specific requirements current and ensuring processes are documented and auditable
• Support global payroll implementations such as new country launches, vendor transitions and in-housing, and own outcomes after go-live
• Drive continuous improvement, track KPIs and service levels, and support the rollout of new tools, automation and standardized workflows
• Manage operational support for the service arm of the business, including team performance and engagement in Zendesk
• Work with People Operations, Finance, Legal, Product and Service Operations, and communicate risks and changes proactively

Required profile

• Proven experience owning payroll outcomes for a team in regional or multi-country environments
• Demonstrated people leadership, including coaching, feedback and performance input
• Able to lead investigations, recommend hiring profiles and team changes, and apply policies and controls clearly
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
• Experience in remote-first or globally distributed teams is a strong advantage
