Market Planner

About the role

The Market Planner at Baxter is responsible for managing inventory at the country or cluster level, ensuring that supply aligns with client needs, especially for imported products. This role works closely with sales, customer support, quality, network planners, and fulfillment teams to resolve discrepancies and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage import or manufactured finished goods, equipment, and spare parts through relationships with international and inter‑company suppliers.
• Develop and implement market‑specific deployment plans.
• Analyze and report inventory variance, owning KPI achievement for inventory level, cash flow, service level, backorder, discard, and supply‑chain expenses.
• Communicate low‑coverage supply issues and back‑order risks to the commercial team and lead review meetings.
• Monitor, track, and expedite inbound purchase orders, coordinating with network planners, logistics, transportation, and warehousing.
• Support system parameter changes (lead times, safety stock, QA releases) and activities such as import license registration, new product launches, and product phase‑outs.
• Identify and execute improvement projects to optimise inventory levels and complete monthly reserve proposals.

Required profile

• Experience handling inventory at a country or cluster level.
• Strong collaboration skills with sales, logistics, quality, and planning functions.
• Ability to develop strategic plans and communicate supply risks effectively.
• Accountable ownership of inventory variance and related KPIs.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset for short‑ and medium‑term supply challenges.
