Materials Engineer – Remote, $30/hr (Short‑Term Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Materials Engineer to support AI‑driven material science projects on a short‑term contract basis. This remote position offers $30 per hour and requires close collaboration with a research team operating on Pacific Standard Time.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI‑generated material science tasks for scientific accuracy.
• Assess the quality of reasoning and identify any errors in the outputs.
• Provide detailed, constructive feedback and annotations on AI‑generated content.
• Support ongoing AI research by applying material science expertise.

Required profile

• Master's or PhD in Material Science, Material Engineering, or a related field, or at least 4 years of professional experience.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Excellent written communication and the capacity to work independently.
• Immediate availability for 15–20 hours per week with a minimum of 4 hours overlap with PST.
• Reliable desktop or laptop with a stable internet connection.
