Mechanical Engineer – Building Systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection)

About the role

WSP is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Building Division. You will work on high‑performance building projects, contributing to the design and delivery of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.

Key responsibilities

• Participate actively in the design and delivery of building projects.
• Conduct technical site surveys when required.
• Prepare conceptual studies and estimate construction costs.
• Perform design calculations and ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and WSP standards.
• Develop plans and specifications under the guidance of the Project Manager or Discipline Lead.
• Coordinate your discipline’s design with other professionals and collaborate with production, administrative, and construction supervision teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with building mechanical systems (ventilation, heating, air‑conditioning, plumbing, fire protection).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Proficiency in French, both written and spoken.
