Medical Education Specialist

About the role

Zimmer Biomet is seeking a Medical Education Specialist to design, deliver, and manage educational programs for orthopedic surgeons, fellows, residents, and other healthcare professionals. The role supports the mission of improving mobility and quality of life through innovative medical technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create strategic medical education plans.
• Develop curriculum covering safe and effective use of Zimmer Biomet products and surgical techniques.
• Lead execution of didactic, cadaveric, virtual, and large‑scale training events.
• Partner with orthopedic trade‑show organizers to plan industry side events.
• Work with faculty surgeons to create and continuously improve educational content.
• Maintain the Medical Education calendar and support budget tracking for courses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree completed.
• Senior experience in the medical device industry, preferably orthopedics.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, finance, and budgeting.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and public‑speaking abilities.
• Proactive problem‑solver, self‑motivated and comfortable working in a cadaver lab.
• Advanced English proficiency; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus for specific locations.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, often on short notice.
