Medical Imaging Operations Manager (Bogotá, Remote)

About the role

A leading high-tech medical imaging company, which develops CT, MRI, digital radiography and mammography equipment, is looking for a Medical Imaging Operations Manager to lead its business in Colombia. The position is based in Bogotá but remote, and acts as the link between the global headquarters in China, the local distribution network and major healthcare providers. It suits someone with a background in biomedical engineering or healthcare management who understands the Colombian medical imaging market.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the medical imaging business unit in Colombia in line with global corporate standards.
• Manage and evaluate local distributors and commercial partners, tracking sales KPIs, service response times and market coverage.
• Coordinate Sales, Clinical Applications and Technical Service teams for seamless customer experiences.
• Optimize spare parts inventory and local logistics to reduce equipment downtime in clinics and hospitals.
• Support market expansion, financial forecasting and budget control for the Colombian territory.
• Engage with key opinion leaders, radiologists and hospital directors to build long-term relationships.
• Represent the company at medical congresses and trade shows and manage localized corporate communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Management or a closely related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in operations, service management or business development in medical imaging (CT, MRI, X-Ray) or high-end medical equipment.
• Deep knowledge of the Colombian healthcare system, including EPS, IPS, hospital procurement and SECOP public bidding regulations.
• Ability to lead and influence multi-functional, distributed or third-party teams.
• Professional English (written and spoken, B1-B2 for internal communication) and native Spanish; reports go to Chinese executives.
• Nice to have: experience in multicultural environments or Asian multinational corporate structures.
