Medical Science Liaison

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join its Innovative Medicine team in Bogotá. The MSL will act as a scientific bridge between the company and healthcare professionals, influencing medical practice through evidence‑based discussions and gathering insights to shape the organization’s medical strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the scientific and medical expert for internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with academic and community healthcare professionals, focusing on the exchange of scientific knowledge.
• Communicate the value of innovation attributes such as efficacy, safety, and quality of life to gain stakeholder endorsement.
• Design and execute scientific exchange plans with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in alignment with the Medical Department’s strategy.
• Respond to scientific inquiries and integrate data into real‑world practice.
• Gather field insights on treatment paradigms, competitive landscape, and medical needs.

Required profile

• Degree in Health Sciences, Life Sciences or related field, with relevant postgraduate education.
• Deep scientific knowledge of the therapeutic area and ability to interpret and disseminate data.
• More than 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
• English proficiency at C1‑C2 level and a valid driver’s license.
• Strong critical, strategic, and communication skills, with ability to work in matrix organizations.
