Mortgage Operations Officer

About the role

The Mortgage Operations Officer supports the Funding department’s objectives by processing mortgage funding requests, handling client inquiries, and ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. This role operates within a high‑performing, inclusive team focused on delivering results for the Canadian branch network.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and process incoming mortgage funding requests from branches, solicitors, notaries and other partners.
• Assist with customer and branch complaints, and manage related processing tasks.
• Investigate exception cases, perform complex adjustments, and answer procedural queries.
• Respond to correspondence and telephone inquiries independently, ensuring full resolution.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of department processes, systems, and related retail products.
• Support risk‑aware decision making and uphold operational, compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct controls.

Required profile

• High school diploma (minimum requirement).
• Experience in finance or administrative roles is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of mortgage industry processes and products.
