Online Language Arts Program Assistant (Grades 6-12)

About the role

We are seeking an Online Language Arts Program Assistant to support our Grades 6‑12 program. Working closely with the Program Leader and mentors, you will help ensure smooth instructional delivery and high‑quality student experiences in a virtual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Attend weekly L10 meetings, capture notes, track action items and create Asana tasks.
• Support live classes by managing breakout rooms, facilitating activities, and holding office hours.
• Substitute for mentors using prepared materials to maintain instructional continuity.
• Grade assignments according to established rubrics and provide clear written feedback.
• Communicate professionally with students and staff via email, phone and virtual meetings, and report patterns of concern to mentors.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize tasks, track hours and follow up on action items.

• Willingness to attend regular meetings and collaborate with mentors and program leadership.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Asana for task management.
