Operational Security Engineer (WAF Specialist)

About the role

Cardif Servicios is looking for an Operational Security Engineer specializing in Web Application Firewall (WAF) administration in Bogotá, Colombia. The role covers L3 administration, support and overall management of the company's WAF platforms, ensuring a robust and efficient security posture.

Key responsibilities

• L2/L3 management of production configurations in the Web Application Firewall, specifically F5 AWAF ASM
• Deploy and maintain application-specific WAF configurations
• Provide L2/L3 support for application-level tasks and issues, including log monitoring and analysis
• Act as the point of contact for error messages and lead the analysis of false positives with application managers
• Test WAF functionality, especially during the rollout of new application versions
• Resolve or contribute to resolving production and security incidents
• Generate compliance reports and work with IT Risk and Security teams to define WAF processes
• Review and update operational processes and technical documentation

Required profile

• Proven experience in WAF administration (strong preference for F5 AWAF ASM)
• Experience in L2/L3 support environments
• Ability to collaborate with platform managers and risk teams

Required skills

• Strong technical analysis skills and a problem-solving mindset
• WAF administration, preferably on F5 AWAF ASM
