Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager / Production Manager is accountable for the overall performance of the health & medical plant in Yumbo, overseeing industrial maintenance, warehouse, and production control. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, the role is fully onsite and focuses on safety, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a role model for safety and Essity values.
• Drive strategic initiatives and implement management systems and operational standards.
• Lead the Autonomous Maintenance pillar, strengthening organizational capability.
• Own operational results (SQCDM) and ensure performance targets are met.
• Develop and coach teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Apply structured problem‑solving tools to eliminate losses and optimise performance.
• Manage the annual operational budget and ensure cost control.
• Maintain strong communication routines through daily, weekly and monthly performance meetings.
• Lead performance‑management processes and support growth of critical operational areas.

Required profile

• Results‑driven leader with a passion for operational excellence.
• Strong analytical thinking and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Ability to inspire and develop teams in complex environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in industrial operations or production leadership.
• Advanced English proficiency.
