Operations Specialist – Accounting & Tax

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, analytical Operations Specialist to manage accounting closings and Colombian tax compliance for Teltonika Colombia. The role works closely with Finance, Management, and HQ while also supporting payroll and back‑office processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute monthly and annual accounting closings, including reconciliations and balance‑sheet clean‑up.
• Handle Colombian tax filings: VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax, ICA, exogenous information and foreign‑exchange reporting.
• Support payroll validation, social security contributions, and supplier payment documentation.
• Maintain organized supporting documents, assist internal and external audits, and follow up on pending items with other areas.

Required profile

• Advanced student or graduate in Public Accounting with 3‑5 years of accounting experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Colombian tax filings and monthly/annual closings.
• Strong analytical and detail‑oriented mindset, able to meet strict deadlines.
• English level B1 or higher is desirable.

Required skills

• SIIGO accounting software
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formulas)
• Knowledge of Colombian tax regulations (VAT, withholding, ICA, exogenous reporting)
