Packaging Engineer

About the role

Develop competitive packaging solutions leveraging technical knowledge, material expertise, and trend analysis, while ensuring logistics efficiency and sustainability to meet channel needs and enhance consumer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design packaging at a technical level for strategic and tactical projects, ensuring compliance with launch timelines.
• Collaborate with suppliers to identify packaging opportunities balancing product protection, cost, logistics, and sustainability.
• Plan and support packaging trials in manufacturing plants and assist Product Analysts during trial runs.
• Research packaging trends by monitoring market behavior, emerging channels, and usage patterns to generate innovative solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications for packaging materials and finished products based on internal and supplier requirements.
• Consolidate and analyze packaging-related reports and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Design, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing processes, packaging development, and product development.
• Conversational English at B2 level (demonstrable).

Required skills

• Packaging design using Cape Pack.
• Technical drawing/layout design with AutoCAD.
• ERP systems experience, specifically SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
