Payroll Specialist (Bilingual)

About the role

TMF Group, a global provider of administrative services, is looking for a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for employees across North America while based in Bogotá. The role works in a dynamic international environment, ensuring payroll is accurate, on time and compliant with company policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll administration in line with current legislation and local regulations, including legal, taxation and internal auditing requirements such as ISAE certification.
• Handle low-complexity tasks independently, from start to finish, such as monthly payroll reconciliation, data entry, starters and leavers, and salary payments.
• Prepare regular client-specific and statutory monthly reports, earnings statements and tax filings.
• Maintain payroll records and employee information in the payroll system, keeping them complete and accurate.
• Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities for automation and standardization, and keep track of legislative changes affecting the payroll agenda.
• Keep payroll information confidential and handle sensitive data with discretion.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a university (at least 6th semester) or holds a technologist diploma or equivalent; further study in accounting, finance or a related field is an advantage.
• Prior experience in USA payroll processing or related administrative functions (minimum 1 year).
• Advanced English skills (B2-C1).
• Team-oriented and service-minded.

Required skills

• Familiarity with payroll software such as ADP, QuickBooks, VISMA or others.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
