Payroll Specialist (Remote – Colombia)

About the role

FullStack is looking for a detail‑oriented Payroll Specialist to manage end‑to‑end payroll and social security processes for its Colombian workforce. This remote position requires strong knowledge of Colombian labor, tax and social security regulations, and the ability to work closely with HR, Finance and external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Process the full payroll cycle for all Colombian employees, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Validate prenómina, manage approval workflows and close the definitive payroll.
• Calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions and benefits in line with local legislation.
• Handle withholding tax (retención en la fuente) and ensure compliance with DIAN electronic transmission requirements.
• Administer employee enrollment and updates with EPS, ARL, AFP and Cajas de Compensación.
• Process PILA contributions, parafiscal payments and coordinate reimbursements for sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, etc.
• Maintain up‑to‑date payroll‑related tax and benefit filings and monitor regulatory changes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries on payroll, benefits and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in payroll administration within Colombia.
• Strong understanding of Colombian labor law, tax regulations and social security requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to support employees and collaborate with internal teams.
