Placement & Operations Support Analyst – Reinsurance

About the role

Join Gallagher as a Placement & Operations Support Analyst focused on reinsurance. You will ensure smooth insurance placements, support broker teams, and maintain compliance across contracts and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Compile renewal templates and set up contract records using internal systems.
• Gather and analyse client and reinsurer data, performing due‑diligence and creating system entries.
• Review market security information and conduct sanctions checks in collaboration with the Compliance team.
• Monitor marketing sheets, verify approvals, and produce data reports to support reinsurance programme placements.
• Maintain electronic placing files according to Gallagher Excellence Model (GEM) guidelines.
• Analyse contracts and placing files to ensure accurate entry in the transactional broking system.
• Interpret reinsurance contracts, generate billing entries, and produce documentation such as cover notes, debit notes and closing instructions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, Law or a quantitative discipline.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.
• At least 2 years of experience in broker support, premium billing or related functions.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and proactive workflow management.

Required skills

• Experience with internal insurance or broking systems.
• Ability to analyse complex data and interpret contractual terms.
• Proficiency in preparing accounting entries and related documentation.
