Platform Engineer

About the role

Grip is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve core backend services and platform infrastructure that power its logistics and fulfillment solutions. You will work at the intersection of platform and backend development, shaping foundational systems and enabling engineering teams to ship high‑quality code faster.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve core backend services and platform infrastructure, making architectural decisions that scale.
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure as code, and maintain container orchestration platforms.
• Implement and enhance API gateways, observability (monitoring, logging, alerting, tracing), and system reliability.
• Automate operational processes, partner with engineering teams to streamline workflows, and participate in on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• 3–4+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, backend, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• Strong fundamentals in backend engineering, system design, and scalability.
• Proven ability to use AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) for production code.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and containerization/orchestration.
