Podcast Producer & Social Media Manager

About the role

A U.S.-based real estate media company is launching a niche local podcast covering real estate development, investment and local politics. It is hiring a Podcast Producer & Social Media Manager to own the post-production pipeline and social growth strategy, from raw recordings to published episodes and short-form content across major social platforms. The position is full-time, permanent and 100% remote, working US Eastern Time, with a salary of $1,500 - $2,100 USD per month.

Key responsibilities

• Edit four podcast episodes per month (video and audio): cuts, pacing, audio cleanup, intros/outros, graphics and captions
• Publish episodes to podcast hosting platforms and YouTube, including titles, show notes, chapters and thumbnails
• Cut each episode into short-form clips for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and Facebook, with hooks and captions
• Build and maintain a content calendar and schedule posts across social channels
• Develop a social growth strategy: platforms, cadence, formats, hooks, hashtags and guest promotion
• Create guest-facing promo assets and track metrics such as views, watch time, followers, downloads and clip engagement
• Maintain brand consistency across thumbnails, captions and graphics, and coordinate file handoffs and recording logistics

Required profile

• Proven video and audio podcast editing experience with a portfolio of published episodes
• Experience turning long-form conversations into high-performing short-form clips
• Experience scheduling and publishing across social platforms, and building a content calendar and basic social strategy
• Clear, professional written English for captions, show notes and descriptions
• Availability to overlap with US Eastern business hours (at least 4 hours)
• Portfolio required; a short edit exercise may be requested

Required skills

• Podcast publishing: hosting platforms, RSS feeds and episode distribution
• Audio skills: noise reduction, leveling and clean dialogue
• Video/audio editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Audition, Descript, After Effects, Canva, Photoshop, Opus Clip, Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, Metricool, Libsyn, Buzzsprout, YouTube Studio and Frame.io
• Nice to have: audience growth experience, motion graphics, thumbnail design, AI-assisted editing, SEO for YouTube and podcast show notes, multi-camera editing
