Principal Cybersecurity Incident Responder

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Incident Responder to lead complex cyber incident investigations and protect enterprise systems, data, and business operations. The role is part of the Global Forensics & Incident Response team and works closely with Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, IT, Privacy, Legal and business stakeholders. This onsite position in Bogotá, Colombia, is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast‑paced environments and focus on collaboration, automation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end cyber incident investigations from identification through resolution and post‑incident review.
• Investigate security alerts across endpoint, identity, cloud, email and network environments using SIEM, CrowdStrike, EDR and XDR platforms.
• Conduct digital forensic investigations to determine attacker behavior, root cause and business impact.
• Coordinate response and remediation with Security Operations, IT, Privacy, Legal and business stakeholders.
• Develop and enhance investigation workflows, playbooks, dashboards and automation capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of cybersecurity experience (or Master’s with 5+ years).
• Hands‑on experience leading incident response investigations and using SIEM platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience communicating technical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience developing automation or scripting solutions using PowerShell, Python or similar technologies.
