Procurement Assistant (Hybrid) – Medellín

About the role

The Procurement Assistant will work directly with the Sales Lead, handling end‑to‑end quoting, vendor negotiation and follow‑up of open opportunities. This fast‑paced position is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives on persistence and high ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer inquiries, prepare accurate quotes and adjust them as needed.
• Conduct cost analysis, negotiate pricing, lead times and special requests with vendors.
• Send RFQs, chase vendors for responses and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Monitor open quotes, flag those ready to close and pass them to the Sales Lead.
• Manage lower‑tier customers, from inquiry through quote, and support ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the Sales Lead.
• Research and build targeted customer lists for priority markets such as Australia, New Zealand, Guyana‑Suriname and LATAM.

Required profile

• Experience in quoting, purchasing, sales support or supply chain.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with knowledge of pricing strategies and cost analysis.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, comfortable with rejection and repeated vendor/client chasing.
• Ability to work independently while following direction from a single manager.
