Procurement Specialist (Hybrid, Medellín)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Procurement Specialist to join ABA TECH in Medellín. The role focuses on optimizing purchasing operations, strengthening supplier relationships, and supporting strategic procurement initiatives within a collaborative, data‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier onboarding, verification, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate purchase requests, purchase orders and vendor communications using Coupa.
• Evaluate suppliers on quality, pricing, service and performance.
• Support contract administration, renewals and ensure procurement compliance.
• Analyze procurement data to identify trends and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain and Accounts Payable to sustain Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes.
• Resolve purchasing and invoice discrepancies while maintaining smooth operations.
• Drive improvements in procurement processes, user adoption and supplier performance.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, strategic sourcing or vendor management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency with Coupa is highly preferred; knowledge of P‑Card/V‑Card processes is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
• Upper‑intermediate English (B2+) and availability to work U.S. business hours.
