Product Definition Analyst

About the role

As a Product Definition Analyst you will act as the bridge between business needs and technical implementation for Amadeus Central Reservation System (ACRS) Connectivity. You will collaborate with product, engineering, architecture and QA teams to translate complex requirements into clear functional specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document functional and non‑functional requirements with product owners and stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications and technical requirements.
• Analyse end‑to‑end integration flows, APIs, data mappings, business rules and system impacts.
• Work closely with architects and engineers to clarify requirements and contribute to technical solutions.
• Support backlog refinement, story decomposition, PI planning and feature readiness.
• Partner with QA to define expected behaviours, test scenarios and acceptance conditions.
• Investigate functional and integration issues and turn production learnings into product improvements.
• Create and maintain high‑quality product, interface and functional documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a Product Definition Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Business Analyst or similar in a software environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to translate complex requirements into clear specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with product, engineering, architecture and QA teams.

Required skills

• APIs and system integration experience.
• Data mapping, XML/JSON handling.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
