Product Designer Associate (Hybrid)

About the role

Clara is a payment platform in Latin America, and it is hiring a Product Designer Associate in Bogotá on a hybrid basis. The role owns the design of a product area end to end, from discovery to shipped product, working with product, engineering and data. It is a hands-on builder position reporting to the Head of Design, where AI is used to prototype and build working solutions, test them with users and ship with the team.

Key responsibilities

• Shape product requirements through collaboration with cross-functional partners in an always-on discovery pipeline.
• Run user research and testing, using AI for desk research and synthesis while keeping the rigor of the insights.
• Turn ambiguous problems into flows and interfaces that work for users and the business.
• Build functional, testable prototypes in days using AI coding tools, far enough that engineering can build from them.
• Ship early versions, measure results with real users and iterate based on data.
• Maintain quality and consistency across deliverables, including AI-assisted work, using the design system and contributing back when it falls short.
• Own the UX performance of the products you design and drive improvements.

Required profile

• 4+ years as a Product, UX or Interaction Designer who has owned design work end to end, with a portfolio showing it.
• Senior judgment: able to decide what to build, what to cut and when to ship, and explain the trade-offs.
• Built with AI daily, going from idea to working software alone with tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
• Experimentation mindset: ships early versions, tests with users, reads data and lets results decide what to scale or kill.
• Experience in user research and usability testing, from planning and running studies to synthesizing insights.
• Strong design craft and attention to detail, and clear, confident communication in professional English.

Nice to have

• Fintech or B2B experience with complex, data-heavy UI.
• Contributing to or building a design system.
• Frontend knowledge enough to review implementation and open pull requests.
• Experience with structured, agent-ready guidelines and documentation.
