Product Designer (Bilingual)

About the role

Kanguro Insurance provides bilingual, 24/7, fully digital pet and renters insurance for the US market. It has built its own small product team over four years, covering web checkout, widget, backend and mobile app. It is hiring a Product Designer to own the product experience end to end, acting as the only designer on the team and switching between user research, user experience and user interface as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the evolving products, Pet Insurance and Renters Insurance, to design useful features for customers and internal teams.
• Research users through existing team learnings and new studies.
• Design end-to-end experiences with product leadership and turn them into tangible UIs for frontend and mobile developers.
• Work with the wider Kanguro team to solve user needs in a scalable way.
• Leverage AI-enhanced workflows across user research, UX and UI to scale impact.
• Review, improve and own the UX guidelines and design system.
• Experiment quickly with no-code AI tools (desired but not required).

Required profile

• Bilingual.
• Passion for product design, user research and building digital experiences that make people's lives easier.

What we offer

• Full-time position under a permanent contract in Colombia.
• Monthly salary of COP $9,000,000.
• Hybrid model: 3 days in the office near Parque de la 93 in Bogotá and 2 days from home.
• US holiday schedule, plus extra paid days when Colombia has additional national holidays.
