Project Assistant - Impact Investing Ecosystem

About the role

Cuso International offers a 5-month volunteer placement in Bogotá, Colombia, starting December 2026. You will support Fundación SVX Colombia in strengthening Colombia's impact investing ecosystem, helping implement projects, engage stakeholders and connect capital with social and environmental outcomes. The placement is open to Canadian citizens and Canadian permanent residents only.

Key responsibilities

• Research and map the ecosystem: identify and analyse key stakeholders to find strategic partnerships, funding opportunities and aligned organisations.
• Support project coordination and stakeholder engagement: organise project activities, keep initiatives moving and build productive relationships with ecosystem partners.
• Strengthen knowledge management and internal systems: standardise documentation, centralise proposal development resources and suggest improvements to project management and CRM tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in International Relations, International Business, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, International Development, Industrial Engineering, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Experience in an investment ecosystem is an asset, especially in impact investing, entrepreneurship, innovation or ecosystem development.
• Interest in, or experience with, economic inclusion and entrepreneurship development.
• Strong intercultural communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Spanish at advanced level (Level 4); a Spanish resume and statement of interest must be submitted.

Required skills

• Experience using tools for analysis, presentations and information management.
• Ability to complete a language assessment, provide two professional and one personal reference, and pass a police check and medical clearance.
