Project Assistant RBS

About the role

The Project Assistant RBS will support the issuance and review of certificates, documentation, invoicing and coordination of activities with SGS affiliates worldwide, primarily within the Minerals Trade business.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and answer phone calls or email requests from customers, affiliates and subcontractors.
• Create internal files according to operational procedures and upload documents to internal and customer servers.
• Provide clear work instructions to SGS affiliates and ensure personnel understand client expectations.
• Communicate timely updates to clients and verify invoices from affiliates before approval.
• Assist the manager in customer meetings, conference calls and provide technical assistance on shipments.
• Advise customers on issues during load/discharge operations and ensure accuracy of reports and data.
• Maintain accuracy and security of client data, liaise with Global Customer Care, and process accounts payable for Minerals Trade.
• Support special projects in the laboratory department and keep the work area clean and presentable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related administrative background.
• 1+ years of operations experience, preferably with marine shipping trade.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities across stakeholders.
• Effective communicator, results‑oriented, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluency in written and spoken English (B2 or above).
