Project Manager, Construction Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Project Manager for construction projects based in Pereira. This is an on-site position. The Project Manager delivers a range of tasks to a high quality standard and assists on projects of all sizes, handling commissions of varying size depending on project complexity. The role can be part of a larger team or act as the main day-to-day contact with the client.

Key responsibilities

• Help establish the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters, project governance, planning, processes and systems.
• Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communication.
• Monitor and control the project using performance management techniques and manage the change control process.
• Advise on project finances and read and understand project documents such as agreements, work letters, charters, surveys, budgets, schedules and drawings.
• Prepare project status reports, process purchase orders, update tracking reports and maintain files for due diligence and financials.
• Manage project correspondence (meetings, reports, memos, emails) to facilitate, maintain and track it.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in similar roles.
• Ability to develop reports and project follow-ups.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Required skills

• Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple timelines and projects at once, set priorities and work with little or no direct supervision.
