Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join Sonatype’s Product Organization. Reporting to a Product Program Manager, you will drive execution of complex, cross‑functional technical initiatives across multiple product segments such as SCA, Repository, Platform, and Data.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end project delivery, building detailed plans, tracking milestones, owners, dependencies, risks and deliverables.
• Identify, track and mitigate risks and cross‑team dependencies, establishing clear owners and escalation paths.
• Coordinate with Engineering Directors, Product Managers, Tech Leads, Marketing, Customer Success and Support to align deliverables and resolve inter‑segment dependencies.
• Maintain project health visibility and provide concise status updates to senior leadership.
• Facilitate regular syncs, remove blockers and drive timely decision making across functions.
• Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline workflows and reduce manual overhead.

Required profile

• 5+ years of technical project management experience in SaaS or technology companies.
• Proven ability to turn ambiguous initiatives into structured execution plans with clear milestones and measurable outcomes.
• Strong communication skills to synthesize complex information for directors and senior leaders.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, distributed remote environment.

Required skills

• Project management tools: Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace (or equivalents).
• Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, data flows, architecture dependencies and software delivery processes.
• Experience using AI tools and automation strategies to improve project efficiency.
