Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

The Purchasing Coordinator places finished-goods, label and packaging purchase orders, coordinates freight and tracks every order until it is received and closed. The Supply Chain team decides what to buy and when; this role ensures it happens on time, at the right quantity and price, with clean records.

Key responsibilities

• Issue POs to co-manufacturers based on the approved replenishment plan, confirming quantity, pricing, lead time and production date, checking prices against the current co-man quote and resolving discrepancies before production starts.
• Place label and packaging POs with printers and suppliers so components arrive before the production run, confirming the correct SKU and artwork version and tracking shipments to each co-man.
• Schedule pickups of finished goods once lots are released, quote and book LTL and FTL freight, share BOLs and pallet details, and flag delays, damages and shortages early while managing claims.
• Keep the status and ETA of every open PO current, send a weekly open-PO and inbound schedule update, and call out risks to stock levels.

Required profile

• 3 to 4 years in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or logistics coordination.
• Hands-on experience placing POs and tracking them through delivery.
• Fluent English and clear, professional written communication with external partners.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage many open orders at once and proactive about flagging problems.
• Nice to have: consumer goods, food, beverage or supplement brand experience; co-manufacturer or label/packaging procurement experience; freight booking, carrier coordination or 3PL experience; Monday.com.
