Purchasing Specialist – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

We are looking for an analytical Purchasing Specialist to join a mission‑driven consumer electronics distributor. The role is fully remote, with a preference for candidates in Colombia, and requires close collaboration with sales, warehouse, and operations teams across the U.S. and Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and distributors in U.S. and international markets.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities and product allocations to protect margins.
• Monitor market pricing trends and adjust purchasing strategies quickly.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to secure premium product access.
• Manage purchase orders, track ETAs and coordinate inbound logistics with warehouse and operations teams.
• Collaborate daily with internal sales teams to align inventory purchasing with customer demand.
• Analyze landed costs, inventory turnover, pricing strategies and margins using Excel and internal systems.

Required profile

• Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, procurement or wholesale distribution.
• Strong understanding of consumer electronics categories and major technology brands.
• Proven negotiation skills and a track record of effective supplier management.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency (formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data analysis).
