Python Developer – Data Automation & GIS

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Python Developer to join its data‑automation and GIS team. You will design, build, and maintain robust Python solutions that streamline business processes, ensure data quality, and support geospatial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications for internal workflows.
• Automate manual tasks, create simple UI components, and integrate data pipelines.
• Implement data quality checks to guarantee accuracy and consistency.
• Interact with SQL or NoSQL databases for storage and retrieval.
• Extract and parse data from third‑party APIs.
• Use Alteryx or similar ETL tools for data transformation and analytics.
• Support GIS mapping: subdivide acreage polygons, visualize well placements, and maintain spatial integrity.

Required profile

• Strong Python programming expertise.
• Experience with data automation, API integration, and database interaction.
• Familiarity with GIS concepts and geospatial libraries.
• Ability to design lightweight user interfaces.
