Quality Assurance Professional

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a seasoned QA/QC professional to ensure that civil, structural and architectural works meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will work on large‑scale industrial projects for major pharmaceutical and energy clients, delivering safe and contract‑compliant outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans in line with national and international standards (NOM, ASTM, ACI, AISC, AWS).
• Verify materials, construction procedures, inspection protocols and site records for civil, structural and architectural works.
• Conduct daily technical inspections, produce photographic and documentary reports, and manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) with corrective actions.
• Oversee testing activities for soil compaction, concrete, structural steel, welding, coatings and architectural finishes.
• Participate in progress meetings, present technical and quality updates to executives, and coordinate project close‑out documentation.
• Represent the company during audits, client reviews and regulatory inspections.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience on industrial civil, structural and architectural projects, preferably in power, energy or industrial facilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of Colombian construction codes and international quality standards.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong documentation, record‑control and executive‑level reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, self‑motivated and capable of solving complex technical issues.
