Quality Assurance Test Engineer

About the role

ZoeZoe, an end-to-end wealth platform, is hiring a QA Test Engineer for its Bogota office (Zona Chico). The role reports to the VP of Engineering and suits a motivated person who enjoys building robust systems from scratch, testing user interfaces and improving workflows. It is a mid-level to senior position, with five days per week at the WeWork Carrera 19 office.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents and give timely feedback.
• Create and document detailed test plans and test cases, and estimate, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Identify, document and track defects and work with product and engineering teams to resolve them.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and take part in requirements and design reviews.
• Work with UI/UX designers and developers to integrate front-end and back-end components.
• Monitor debugging results and track quality metrics such as defect density and open defect count.
• Stay up to date with testing methodologies and best practices.

Required profile

• 2-4 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, including manual and automated testing.
• Solid understanding of the SDLC and testing methodologies, with hands-on experience in functional, regression, integration and performance testing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a daily release cycle.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in verbal and written English.

Required skills

• Software development and unit testing with QA automation tools.
• JavaScript test automation frameworks such as Cypress and Playwright.
• Relational databases, RESTful API testing and JSON, SQL queries and Postman.
