Quotes & Proposals Specialist

About the role

The Quotes & Proposals Specialist prepares accurate, competitive, and timely quotations and proposals that meet customer requirements and align with the company's commercial objectives. This position acts as a bridge between Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Purchasing, and Operations to support new business opportunities and product qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and prioritize quotation requests from customers and sales teams.
• Identify products, part numbers, specifications, and cross‑references.
• Prepare quotations and proposals according to customer requirements and company standards.
• Maintain quote‑related data in ERP and CRM systems.
• Ensure compliance with pricing policies, commercial terms, and approval processes.
• Analyze costs, lead times, tariffs, raw‑material impacts, and calculate selling prices and margins.
• Escalate pricing exceptions and commercial concerns for review.
• Manage Product Qualification Initiatives and coordinate technical reviews between customers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in quotations, pricing, inside sales, or commercial support within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor or similar) required.
• Experience supporting technical quotations, proposals, or product qualifications preferred.

Required skills
