Refrigeration Reliability Manager – European Operations

About the role

Amazon’s Reliability Maintenance and Engineering (RME) team is looking for a Refrigeration Reliability Manager to ensure that the growing fleet of commercial refrigeration systems across Europe operates at peak performance. You will act as the technical authority, driving standardisation, reliability improvements and compliance with food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead projects that deliver reliability, ergonomic, cost and resource‑use benefits at a European scale.
• Increase standardisation of refrigeration equipment and influence future delivery‑station design.
• Optimize existing processes and support the rollout of new refrigeration concepts from concept to deployment.
• Prepare and present business case reviews and status reports to senior leadership.
• Develop long‑term road‑maps and implement engineering‑validated standards.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on predictive and preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Process Improvement, Health & Safety, Ergonomics, Finance, Procurement, Central & Field Reliability and external vendors.

Required profile

• Technical expertise in commercial refrigeration systems.
• Proven experience in reliability, maintenance or engineering roles within a large‑scale logistics environment.
• Strong project‑management capabilities and ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
• High level of autonomy, comfort working in ambiguous situations and delivering detailed technical and business reporting.
