Regional Supply Chain Operations Director – LAC (Colombia)

About the role

Mercy Corps is seeking a Regional Supply Chain Operations Director for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region, based in Colombia with a flexible home‑base arrangement. The role supports Global Supply Chain Operations to ensure cost‑effective, timely, and high‑quality program delivery across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with regional and country program teams to design and implement supply chain strategies that improve operational capability, effectiveness and compliance.
• Work with Mercy Corps Compliance and Legal to ensure contracting practices meet donor requirements and mitigate risk.
• Conduct market analysis and operational assessments to identify regional and country supply chain strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT).
• Develop and execute action plans in collaboration with Global Procurement and country staff.
• Monitor and act on globally defined Mercy Corps supply chain KPIs for countries in the assigned region.
• Provide expertise on market dynamics and serve as the regional point of contact during emergencies requiring high‑level procurement.
• Lead implementation and delivery of global supply chain initiatives within the region.

Required profile

• Significant experience in supply chain, procurement or logistics, preferably in humanitarian or international development contexts.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
• Proven capability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including compliance, legal, and program staff.
• Excellent understanding of donor compliance and contracting processes.
• Ability to travel within the region and deploy to emergency sites as needed.
