Regional Tax and Accounting Manager

About the role

Somos Internet is seeking a Regional Tax and Accounting Manager to lead tax planning and compliance across its Latin American operations. Based in Medellin, this full‑time position follows a hybrid work model, combining on‑site collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee regional tax preparation, filing, and reporting in line with local and international regulations.
• Review and analyse financial statements to ensure accurate IFRS reporting.
• Identify tax optimisation opportunities and mitigate compliance risks.
• Coordinate with external advisors, regulatory authorities, and internal audit teams.
• Implement best practices for tax governance and accounting controls.
• Support strategic decision‑making by providing financial insights to finance leadership and cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in tax strategy and compliance within a regional or multinational environment, preferably in technology or telecommunications.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Fluent Spanish and intermediate English communication skills.
